A catch-all feature that is enabled for a certain e-mailbox will allow you to receive email messages that are sent to email addresses that do not really exist. To put it differently, if you deactivate an email address and someone still sends a message to it, or to any misspelled email address under the same domain name, you will get the message in the catch-all mailbox. Using this functionality means that you won’t miss an email for any reason whatsoever, which could be vital in case you are running some company, for instance. Since you may start receiving unsolicited email messages, you can combine the catch-all functionality with email filters so as to get only legitimate messages in your inbox. Only one mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for a catch-all mailbox.
Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting
In case you host a domain name on our cloud hosting platform and you’ve got a cloud hosting account, you will be able to activate the catch-all functionality for any email mailbox that you set up under the domain name. The Email Manager section of the Hepsia hosting Control Panel comes with quite a few features, but it is exceptionally easy to work with, so setting up a catch-all mailbox takes just one single click of the mouse. All the email addresses that you’ve created will be listed in this section in alphabetical order and you’ll just need to click the "Catch-all" button pertaining to the particular address. Our system will warn you if there’s already another catch-all mailbox activated for that domain or if the one that you’d like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding activated, so you can either deactivate the latter feature or pick a different mailbox. Disabling the catch-all feature is just as simple and requires one more click on the exact same button.
Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting
The catch-all option can be enabled without effort if you have a semi-dedicated server plan with our company. All the email addresses that you have created with the domains hosted in the account will be displayed in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel and you will find a tiny logo handily located right next to each one of them. With only one single click of the mouse, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your choosing as long as there isn't another mailbox under the same domain with this option already enabled and there isn't enabled email forwarding. Instead, you can right-click on a mailbox and enable this feature using the context menu that will surface. In case any of the preconditions for creating a catch-all mailbox is not met, our system will inform you, but will not deactivate or replace anything automatically.
